Job summary

UNC Lenoir Health Care in North Carolina seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound exams with independent judgment and provide high-quality images for radiologist interpretations. You will communicate technical impressions and deliver compassionate patient care onsite in the Ultrasound department.

Requirements include graduation from an AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology program or an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, plus clinical rotation or 1 year ultrasound

Qualifications

  • Degree or certification from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology school or an accredited Sonography program.
  • Clinical rotation in a hospital setting or at least 1 year Ultrasound technologist experience.
  • ARRT registered or registry eligible or ARDMS eligible/registered.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of ultrasound exams using independent judgment and knowledge of ultrasonography principles.
  • Assists Radiologist with diagnostic interpretations by providing high quality images and communicating impressions.
  • Provides high quality patient care and demonstrates professional communication with healthcare team.
