Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonography in a multi-location radiology setting within Houston. The role requires ARDMS/ARRT (S) certification, and RDMS, with BLS as preferred.

You will work with RIS/PACS and collaborate with radiologists and staff. Responsibilities include quality control, proper documentation, sterile technique, and patient communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required and ARDMS/ARRT (S) certification.
• RDMS certification and BLS required.
• Proven ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonography according to policies, procedures and protocols of the KSC radiology department.
• Participates in Technical Quality Control measures, including equipment maintenance and documentation.
• Uses RIS and documents atypical conditions for radiologist review.
• Maintains sterile technique and complies with safety initiatives.
• Participates in training and maintains current licenses/certifications.
• Interacts with patients and staff, communicates effectively with supervisors and radiologists.
