Job summary

Day Kimball Health is seeking a Per Diem Ultrasonographer in Putnam, CT to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. The role involves performing abdominal, OB-GYN, vascular, and small parts studies under radiologist direction, with responsibility for equipment setup and patient positioning.

The ideal candidate has ARDMS certification including Physics and registry, CPR certification, and 1–2 years of ultrasound experience. RVT preferred.

Qualifications

• Attended an accredited school for Diagnostic Ultrasound or have equivalent experience.
• ARDMS Certification (Physics and additional anatomy registry) required.
• RVT certification strongly preferred.
• Maintain ARDMS certification.
• CPR – Current AHA Healthcare Provider within 3 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Move transducer over specified body area and observe the ultrasound pattern on screen.
• Perform abdominal, OB-GYN, vascular, and small parts sonography.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Discuss test findings with the radiologist.
• Explain procedure to patient and assist in positioning for exam.
• Maintain and operate complex ultrasound equipment to image patients.
