Job summary

Salt Creek Surgery Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support patient care activities in the operating room under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include setting up instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting with patient care during procedures.

The role involves moving patients, assisting in anesthesia, preparing specimens, and coordinating with the surgical team to ensure timely, safe operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile processing.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced operating room.
• Strong communication with RN, surgeon, staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of instruments and supplies for cases.
• Maintain strict sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Circulate under supervision of Registered Nurse and document patient care.
• Prepare and label specimens correctly and ensure proper patient positioning.
• Accompany patient and anesthesia staff to PACU and ensure safe transfer.
