Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a per diem Certified Surgical Tech for our Fairfield, CT surgery center. The role requires CST certification, with duties including scrub and circulating support during interventional procedures, room prep, and instrument handling.

Qualifications

1-2 years related experience.
Experience with interventional equipment including C-Arm and related procedures.
Knowledge of sterile techniques.
BLS certification required.
State licensure/certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

Assist with setting up and maintaining the procedure room in compliance with policies and regulations.
Stock procedure room and trays with needed supplies and interventional equipment.
Clean the procedure room and equipment post-procedure.
Assist with patient prepping and positioning for procedures.
Perform scrub and circulating duties under supervision during interventional procedures.
Assist with medication preparation and patient transfers.
Maintain sterile technique and support physicians during procedures under fluoroscopy.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and incident reporting as required.
Participate in inventory, supply re-stocking and instrument sterilization as needed.
Support CQI and quality goals within USV/FMS guidelines.
