Job summary

University Surgical Center in Colorado is hiring a Per Diem/PRN Surgical Technologist. The role involves scrubbing for procedures, maintaining sterility, and coordinating supplies with the surgical team.

Candidates should have a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent education, state/center certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Prior ASC experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent education/experience.
• Certification as required by state/center.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication with staff, patients, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures as part of the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures.
• Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Support the Surgery Center's philosophy, objectives, and goals.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
