Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s CPS division is seeking a pharmacist for per diem coverage in a hospital setting. You will handle order entry, compounding, labeling, and supervision of technicians while consulting with clinicians on drug use and staying compliant with policies.

The role requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with recent experience and active Texas licensure. In addition to salary benefits, a comprehensive package and 401(k) contributions are offered.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited PharmD degree or BS in Pharmacy with recent pharmacist work experience
• Active Texas State pharmacist license in good standing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Process physician drug orders including order entry into the dispensing system
• Perform appropriate product selection, compounding, labeling and repackaging
• Delegate product preparation activities to pharmacy technicians
• Consult with healthcare professionals on drugs and their appropriate use
• Stay compliant with department and hospital policies and procedures
• Cover the Director of Pharmacy in their absence to manage daily activities
• Assist in CPR responses and participate in hospital committees as needed
• Prepare periodic department progress reports for administration
• Help maintain accreditation standards compliance
