Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a Speech Therapist to evaluate and treat adults with language and swallowing disorders. You will select assessment tools, administer diagnostics, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.

Responsibilities include delivering individual and group therapy, designing augmentative communication strategies, and educating patients and families. Inpatient SLP experience is preferred; per diem schedule may include weekday and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology required.
• Current MA Speech Pathology license required.
• ASHA membership required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations of communication and swallowing disorders and interpret results for physicians.
• Provide remedial treatment for adults with communication and swallowing disorders in individual and group settings.
• Design and implement augmentative/alternative communication methods when needed, in collaboration with patients and families.
• Educate patients and families about communication disorders.
• Develop and supervise home programs for therapy carryover.
