Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - The Villages is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide expert evaluation and therapy for patients with communication and swallowing needs. This per diem role supports intensive inpatient post-ICU care and requires collaborating with a multidisciplinary Rehab Therapy team.

Current state licensure as an SLP and BLS (or completion within 90 days) are required; CCC-SLP from ASHA is preferred.

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation of communication and swallowing function.
• Deliver goal-oriented treatment to facilitate communication and swallowing potential.
• Participate with Rehab Therapy staff to monitor service quality.
• Engage in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
• Assist in developing and updating SLP programs and policies.
