Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and treatment plans.

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Per Diem, PRN

Parklands Care Centeris seeking a compassionate and dedicatedSpeech-Language Pathologist (SLP)to join our team on a per diem basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to residents in our subacute rehabilitation unit, helping them regain communication skills, improve swallowing function, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities to identify areas of need.
  • Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement customized treatment plans tailored to each resident's specific goals and challenges.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide therapeutic interventions including speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive exercises to improve functional communication and overall quality of life.
  • Patient Education: Educate residents and their families about speech and swallowing disorders, treatment strategies, and techniques to promote effective communication and safe swallowing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to deliver comprehensive care for each patient.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. A passion for patient care, rehabilitation, and teamwork.
