Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Per Diem, PRN
Parklands Care Centeris seeking a compassionate and dedicatedSpeech-Language Pathologist (SLP)to join our team on a per diem basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to residents in our subacute rehabilitation unit, helping them regain communication skills, improve swallowing function, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities to identify areas of need.
- Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement customized treatment plans tailored to each resident's specific goals and challenges.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide therapeutic interventions including speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive exercises to improve functional communication and overall quality of life.
- Patient Education: Educate residents and their families about speech and swallowing disorders, treatment strategies, and techniques to promote effective communication and safe swallowing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to deliver comprehensive care for each patient.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. A passion for patient care, rehabilitation, and teamwork.
