Job summary

CBH Care in Hackensack, NJ seeks a per-diem behavioral health assistant to provide daily supervision, supportive counseling, and support with activities of daily living. You will educate clients on medications and help run social and therapeutic activities with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• BSW in social work, BA/BS in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or related field.
• BA in an unrelated field with two years of previous experience.
• AA in a related field with two years of previous experience.
• Previous experience desired.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provides consumers with daily supervision, supportive counseling, and assistance with their activities of daily living skills
• Observes consumer self-administer their prescribed medication and provides daily medication education

• Utilizes crisis intervention skills as required
