Job summary

CBH Care in Emerson, New Jersey is seeking compassionate staff for a per-diem role to provide daily supervision, supportive counseling, and assistance with activities of daily living. The position includes oversight of self-administration of prescribed medications and daily medication education, plus leading social, recreational, and therapeutic activities with consumers.

The role requires flexibility for weekdays and weekends, including late-night shifts.

Qualifications

• BSW in social work, BA/BS in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or a related field
• BA in an unrelated field with two years of previous experience
• AA in a related field with two years of previous experience
• Previous experience desired
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Provides consumers with daily supervision, supportive counseling, and assistance with their activities of daily living skills
• Observes consumer self-administer their prescribed medication and provides daily medication education
• Facilitates social, recreational, and therapeutic activities with consumers
• Utilizes crisis intervention skills as required

Education

BSW in social work
