Job summary

CBH Care in Emerson, New Jersey is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide daily supervision, supportive counseling, and help with activities of daily living. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team to support clients in a community setting.

Duties include overseeing self-administration of prescribed medications with education, facilitating social and therapeutic activities, and applying crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications

• BSW in social work, BA/BS in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or a related field.
• BA in an unrelated field with two years of previous experience.
• AA in a related field with two years of previous experience.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides consumers with daily supervision, supportive counseling, and assistance with activities of daily living skills.
• Observes consumer self-administer their prescribed medication and provides daily medication education.
• Facilitates social, recreational, and therapeutic activities with consumers.
• Utilizes crisis intervention skills as required.

Education
