Job summary

CBH Care in Lyndhurst, NJ is seeking a Per-Diem Care Worker to provide daily supervision, supportive counseling, and assistance with activities of daily living. The role includes supervising self-administration of medications and offering daily medication education.

The position involves facilitating social and therapeutic activities with clients, utilizing crisis intervention skills when required, and working with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. Shifts are overnight and on weekends.

Qualifications

• BSW in social work, BA/BS in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or a related field.
• BA in an unrelated field with two years of previous experience.
• AA in a related field with two years of previous experience.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides consumers with daily supervision, supportive counseling, and assistance with their activities of daily living skills.
• Observes consumer self-administer their prescribed medication and provides daily medication education.
• Facilitates social, recreational, and therapeutic activities with consumers.
• Utilizes crisis intervention skills as required.

Education

BSW in social work

BA/BS in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or a related field

AA in a related field with two years of previous experience
