Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital seeks a per-diem Speech-Language Pathologist for acute care in adult populations. You will evaluate and treat patients with dysphagia and communication disorders on an inpatient basis, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across NYP-Allen and Columbia campuses.

Strong expertise in MBSS/FEES and speaking valve candidacy is preferred. Role involves weekend/holiday coverage, with on-site presence required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• ASHA certification required.
• New York State licensure required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat medically complex patients with communication and swallowing disorders on an inpatient basis.
• Work with multidisciplinary NYP-Allen/Columbia teams to provide compassionate, evidence-based services.
• Determine candidacy for speaking valve use and rehabilitate patients from spine/neuro conditions.
