The role emphasizes accurate specimen handling, timely processing, and coordination with laboratory staff, providers, and couriers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate required.
• 0 to 6 months experience in laboratory.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent computer/data entry skills.
• Preferred: prior accessioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Accepts specimens and verifies labels and requisitions.
• Process and accession specimens per SOP.
• Enter pre-analytic data into LIS during accessioning.
• Coordinate specimen transport and courier arrangements.
• Provide customer service to laboratory and medical staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
