Job summary

Blackstone Valley Prep Network Office in Cumberland, RI is seeking a per diem school nurse for immediate opening to support health services across our campuses. An RN license is required, and the position is part-time with a stipend of $37.50 per hour.

The nurse will conduct health assessments, administer vaccines and care plans, document visits, and respond to emergencies in accordance with state health guidelines and DOE policies. Rhode Island certification may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Part-time, per diem nursing role in a school health setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct school health services per State Health and DOE guidelines.
• Refer students for medical and dental care as needed.
• Report medical matters to parents, staff, physicians and clinics.
• Prepare health supply orders and maintain inventory.
• Manage emergency situations for students and staff.
• Document nurse visits in medical records.
• Administer nursing procedures as ordered.
