Job summary

Universal Health Services in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care. The role requires interaction with hospital staff to resolve care-related concerns and may include managing ventilators and performing ABG draws.

You will handle communications, on-call paging, and respond to Code Blue events, with weekend and holiday shifts typical. Applicants must hold Texas RN licensure (or compact state license), have an approved nursing degree, and maintain

Qualifications

Must hold an RN license in Texas or compact state.
Associate, Baccalaureate, or Diploma in Nursing required.
Current certifications per AHA Healthcare Provider program (BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP) or ability to obtain within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, direct and evaluate nursing care for patients.
Interact with hospital staff to resolve patient care concerns and conflicts.
Ventilator management and blood draws including ABGs.
Handle communications via phone, paging and coordination with on-call resources.
Respond to Code Blue and coordinate with Housekeeping as needed.
Work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and on-call as required.
