Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and uses patient education materials relevant to patient population.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and collaborates with the team in evaluating patient care.
• Implementation - Delivers nursing care for patients with complex needs following policies and organizes care.
• Leadership - Supports unit goals, promotes teamwork, and ensures safe, cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - Assesses needs and priorities, and plans appropriate care.
• Planning - Partners with patient/family to update the plan of care and uses multidisciplinary resources.
• Research - Reads journals and shares applicable ideas with the staff.
