Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to provide competent clinical nursing care in an on-site hospital setting. The role aligns with professional standards and reports to the Nurse Manager/Director, coordinating patient care using the nursing process within the NGH Operating Room unit.

Requires North Carolina RN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of nursing experience. The position is on-site with variable day shifts and no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
• One (1) year of nursing experience.

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - Delivers competent nursing care for patients with complex needs and prioritizes care.
• Leadership - Supports unit goals and promotes cost-effective care and safe environments.
• Patient Assessment - Assesses patients and plans care in collaboration with families.
• Planning - Develops and updates plan of care with multidisciplinary resources.
• Research - Reads journals and evaluates applicability to practice.
