First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse for per diem hospital assignments in the Hampton Roads area. You can pick up shifts for days or nights and enjoy the flexibility to build a schedule that fits your life.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment for PCU patients.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.
