First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your schedule, with day or night options, and enjoy the flexibility of per diem nursing at leading acute care facilities.

This role offers competitive per diem pay and the ability to build a schedule that works for you. Work locally in Hampton Roads hospitals with support from a dedicated staffing team and convenient mobile

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment required for PCU patients.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.

Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
