First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in the Hampton Roads area, with day or night availability. Per diem pay ranges are competitive, and you can choose shifts to fit your schedule, with options for daily and weekly pay.

Shifts run 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. Enjoy flexible per diem nursing across leading acute care hospitals and maintain control over your career and calendar.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other equipment for PCU patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital infection-control and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.
