First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities throughout the Hampton Roads area. Build a fuller schedule by choosing shifts that fit your life, with day or night options and daily/weekly pay.

Deliver safe, high-quality care in acute care settings. Active Virginia RN license and 2+ years PCU experience required; BLS/ACLS, TB test, and vaccination status must be kept current.

Qualifikationen

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment required for PCU patients
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines
• Provide patient and family education
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs
