Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse for per diem opportunities across the Hampton Roads area in Virginia. You will choose shifts and work in leading acute care hospital settings, delivering high-quality care to PCU patients.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (past 12 months)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and equipment for PCU patients
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Follow infection-control standards and patient-safety guidelines
• Educate patients and families about care plans

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.
