First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities in the Hampton Roads, VA area. You can pick up shifts you want, with day or night options and flexible scheduling.

Per diem earnings are complemented by daily and weekly pay options, with easy mobile scheduling and local staff support. Active Virginia RN license, 2+ years PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, and vaccination status are required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and PCU equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment required for PCU patients
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines
• Provide patient and family education
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs
