Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital assignments across the Hampton Roads area. You’ll choose shifts that fit your schedule, with day and night options and daily/weekly pay options.

As a PCU RN, you’ll deliver high-quality care in acute care settings, monitor patients, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and the care team. Active VA RN license and current BLS/ACLS are required, with COVID-19 vaccination or

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing in the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA).
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and response to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and PCU equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital infection control and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.
