First Choice Nurses is recruiting experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital opportunities throughout the Hampton Roads area. You can pick up shifts or build a fuller schedule with day and night options.

Per diem nursing offers flexibility while working in leading acute care hospital settings, with daily and weekly pay options and a locally owned staffing team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• 2+ years PCU nursing experience preferred within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test in past 12 months.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and equipment for PCU patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies and infection-control standards.
• Provide patient and family education.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.
