Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital assignments in the Hampton Roads area. You choose shifts, including days and nights, and enjoy flexible scheduling with per diem pay.

Active Virginia RN license and at least 2 years of recent PCU experience are required, along with BLS and ACLS. QuantiFERON-TB Gold testing within 12 months and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption are also required.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license active and in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing in the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA).
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and equipment for PCU patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and follow safety guidelines.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.
