Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide safe, high-quality patient-centered care across the continuum. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while working with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include med administration, accurate EHR documentation, patient and family education, and readiness for on-call coverage as needed. A BSN is preferred; ADN acceptable with appropriate experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program approved by the nursing regulatory body.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable depending on program.
• Diploma in Nursing considered for current employees with service.
• GPEN enrollment may be considered for Brown Health Medical Group.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care using the nursing process.
• Administers medications and treatments per policies and orders.
• Documents care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to clinical changes.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to the setting.
• Cares for assigned patients based on organizational needs.
• Completes licensure, certification, and learning activities on time.
• May participate in on-call coverage and precept new staff.
