Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree/Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Experience: 1-2 years nursing experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN license in the State of Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients.
• Manages charge responsibility of nursing unit and delivery of care to residents.
• Medication/Treatment administration and teaching.
• Supervises CNAs & LPNs to ensure adherence to the plan of care.
• Performs ongoing assessments to establish an interdisciplinary care plan.
• Communicates effectively with residents/patients, families and the health team.
• Documents accurate information in a timely manner as required by policy.
• Participates in educational programs and quality improvement activities.
• Follows the Diligent Minimal Lift Program standards.
