Job summary

Covenant Living at Mount Miguel is seeking a Registered Nurse to ensure quality care through assessment, monitoring, and direct resident care in our faith-based senior living community.

The RN will supervise LPNs/CNAs, mentor staff, and communicate with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments and changes in resident conditions. A nursing license and at least one year of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State.
• One year nursing experience necessary.
• Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.
• Skill in assessing problems and planning solutions while supervising LPNs and CNAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily direction and monitor the work of LPNs and nursing assistants.
• Assist in orientation of new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards.
• Assist in motivating LPNs and CNAs assigned to the nursing unit.
• Explain nursing procedures and assist staff to ensure ongoing understanding and training.
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments and concerns.
• Observe and evaluate residents’ health and communicate significant changes to staff and physicians.
