Job summary

Shrewsbury Rehabilitation and Nursing at Southgate in Shrewsbury, MA, is seeking a compassionate Per Diem RN to join our team. You will provide direct nursing care to residents, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and supervise CNAs/GNAs and other nursing staff.

The role requires MA RN licensure and a nursing degree, with a focus on meeting federal, state and local standards. Per diem scheduling with competitive hourly pay supports our commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved RN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in MA.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Knowledge to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents.
• Ability to evaluate performance and assist with disciplinary actions and evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treating wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
• Supervise and direct the day-to-day functions of CNAs/GNAs and other nursing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Monitor the performance of CNAs/GNAs and provide education and counseling as needed.
• Participate in disciplinary actions as necessary and complete performance evaluations.
• Assist in maintaining the Center's quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
• Collaborate with resident services to ensure the resident's total regimen of care is maintained.
