Job summary

Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL, is seeking an RN for the Cath Lab on a per diem basis. The role supports a robust structural heart and electrophysiology program, with hours 07:00-17:30, Monday-Friday, and on-call after hours within 30 minutes of the hospital.

The RN will deliver patient-centered care, coordinate treatment, and maintain documentation across the care continuum in a fast-paced environment; BSN preferred, IL RN license required, and CPR certification expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with IL RN license.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with agreement to enroll in BSN.
• Current AHA CPR certification.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• May be required to take on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate patient-centered care in the Cath Lab.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Maintain safety and accurate EHR documentation.
• Collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Provide education and discharge planning when appropriate.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and professional standards.
