Job summary

Penn Medicine Princeton Health seeks a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to support operations in the Cardiac Cath Lab during day shifts. The Cath Lab performs diagnostic and interventional procedures, with on-call within 30 minutes.

Candidates must have a nursing degree, BCLS/ACLS, and 2 years in a cath lab; scrub and circulate abilities; familiarity with EMR; and are eligible for a competitive hourly rate with benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• 2 years in a cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures required.
• Ability to scrub and circulate in a cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and rhythm interpretation.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and percutaneous coronary interventions.
• Administer moderate sedation during procedures.
• Monitor sedation levels during and after procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and administer medications pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• Familiar with IV meds and drips; monitor vital signs and arterial pressures.
• Educate patients on medications and post-procedure care; document thoroughly in EMR.
