Job summary

Black River Health is seeking a Per Diem Retail Pharmacist to join our Krohn Clinic campus team. You will dispense medications, provide patient counseling, and collaborate with providers to ensure safe, effective therapy.

In this role, you’ll support billing and insurance processes, participate in 340B program activities, and help maintain regulatory compliance while delivering compassionate care to our community.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in Wisconsin required.
• Strong clinical knowledge and counseling skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and OTC medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety.
• Provide patient counseling regarding medications, drug interactions, and proper usage.
• Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy, legality, and clinical appropriateness.
• Collaborate with prescribers to optimize therapy and resolve medication issues.
• Participate in 340B Drug Pricing Program management per policy.
• Assist with billing and insurance processes including prior authorizations and third-party communications.
