Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences; NBRC RRT required.
• NBRC RRT credential; active NBRC status if registered after 2002; renewal as required.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider cert.
• Florida license as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Intermediate Critical Care training as per Orlando Health ladder.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, treats and cares for patients with breathing disorders.
• Operates non-invasive ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
• Maintains patient records with accurate documentation.
• Provides care in non-critical, intermediate, and ICU units.
• Mentors and precepts clinical practicum students; supports clinical education.
