Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. seeks a Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. The role involves initiating therapies, documenting patient records, and operating respiratory equipment across units from non‑critical to ICU settings.

The candidate must hold an AS in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences, NBRC RRT credential, active Florida license, and BLS/ACLS. ACLS preferred and participation in the Respiratory Clinical Ladder is possible.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences.
• Intermediate Critical Care training.
• Basic computer/mechanical training required.
• Maintains RRT license with Florida DOH.
• NBRC RRT credential and active NBRC status.
• BLS/HealthCare Provider certification current.
• Advanced Life Support as appropriate.
• Preferred: active membership in AARC and FSRC.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in respiratory therapeutics and in the use of non‑invasive ventilators, pulmonary diagnostics, and other equipment required for respiratory care.
• Maintains accurate and precise documentation.
• Demonstrates analytical reasoning and blends patient care with technical expertise.
• Communicates openly with the healthcare team.
• Maintains quality control and maintenance of ABG analyzers and blood gas analysis.
