Job summary

Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care across non-ICU, intermediate, and ICU units. You will assess, treat, and monitor patients using non-invasive ventilators and various pulmonary diagnostics, while maintaining precise records and collaborating with the care team.

The role requires an AS in Respiratory Care, active RRT credentials, and current Florida licensure, with BLS/CPR and ALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences.
• Maintain RRT credential with NBRC and current Florida license.
• BLS/HealthCare Provider certification required; ALS as appropriate.
• Active NBRC credential and state license renewals as required.
• Preferred: AARC/FSRC membership.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in respiratory therapeutics and non-invasive ventilation.
• Maintains accurate documentation for patient records.
• Performs assessments with analytical reasoning and combines care with technical needs.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team.
• Provides care across non-critical, intermediate, and ICU units.
