Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. You will initiate therapies, document care, and operate critical equipment in non-ICU to ICU settings.

The role requires Florida licensing as an RRT, NBRC credential, BLS, and ACLS as appropriate. You will participate in the Respiratory Clinical Ladder, mentor students, and uphold patient safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences.
• Maintains Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS as appropriate.
• Maintains NBRC RRT credential and active NBRC status as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in respiratory therapeutics and use of non-invasive ventilators and pulmonary diagnostics.
• Maintains accurate and precise documentation.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team.
• Performs quality control and maintenance of ABG analyzers and related equipment.
• Provides care across non-critical, intermediate, and intensive care units.
• Instructs clinical practicum students and participates in the RRT Clinical Ladder program.
