Job summary

Vinfen is seeking a Direct Support professional to provide individualized and group support for clients in residential or day programs. You will teach skills to increase independence and quality of life, working within a professional team to meet programmatic needs and routines.

Responsibilities include developing and documenting treatment plans, assisting with daily tasks, coordinating transportation, monitoring progress, and ensuring safety on-site.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, and documenting individual treatment support plans.
• Perform a variety of daily tasks with clients, including rehabilitative and behavioral interventions, scheduling, progress monitoring, transportation, and related duties.
• Provide role model and support to clients to help them integrate into their communities.
• Assess clients’ physical and emotional status and report changes to supervisor.
• Ensure program site safety and maintenance; oversee daily living and cleaning with clients.
• Comply with policies and safe work practices, including worker’s compensation and exposure control.
• Complete paperwork and logs (communication logs, membership logs, chore schedules, time sheets, applications).
• Perform crisis intervention as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.
