Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for per diem, day shift (12 hours, 6:00am–6:00pm). You will administer therapies, perform ABG/PFT tests, and set up ventilators as part of a patient-focused respiratory care team.

Requirements include TX RCP license, NBRC RRT, BLS/ACLS on hire (PALS within 60 days; NRP preferred). Two years acute care and an associate or BS in Respiratory Care are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current TX RCP license required.
• NBRC-registered RRT or to be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS and ACLS certification on hire and maintained.
• PALS certification on hire or within 60 days; NRP preferred.
• Associates or B.S. in Respiratory Care preferred; 2 years acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inhalation and oxygen therapy, and administer aerosol medications.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and related life-support devices.
• Contribute to rapid response teams; assist airway management and resuscitation.
• Assess respiratory status and update treatment plans; ensure equipment cleanliness.
