Job summary

The role involves treating a patient caseload from routine to complex conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care from admission to discharge, and documenting progress and home programs. This is a per diem, day-shift position.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Therapeutic Recreation Program or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate working knowledge of disease processes, treatment, and functional deficits related to diagnoses treated.
• Provide skilled, timely, and effective patient care with evaluation and treatment adaptations as needed.
• Follow care protocols, standards, and guidelines for the diagnosed service.
• Document assessments, goals, treatment methods, and home programs clearly and concisely.
• Participate in team rounds and share education with patients and support systems.
• Provide home programs and educational information prior to therapy termination.
