Job summary

Atrium Health Radiology is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the radiologist's direction. You will coordinate daily activities and assist with exams while ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.

Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program and registry-eligible with completion within 1 year are required. BLS is also required; physical demands include assisting patients and lifting equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment and demonstrates proper positioning.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
