Qualifications

• Graduates from an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development for diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic as well as fluoroscopic procedures with minimal supervision.
• Documents patient history pertaining to the specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment according to procedure and demonstrates proper positioning skills.
• Maintains accurate records as required by departmental standards.
