Responsibilities

• Prepare for exam: review the request and determine resource utilization per department protocols and patient needs.
• Perform exam: get patient ready, perform procedure, complete related functions and dispatch patient to next modality/location.
• Develop/process films: film preparation, processing and handling per department protocols.
• Quality control: film matching and completeness of procedure with appropriate personnel.
• Post-exam requirements: ensure information is available for report rendering by radiologists and transmit readings when necessary.
• Record keeping/paperwork for Exam/Requisition/Film Cycle.
• Maintain x-ray equipment per guidelines, manufacturer instructions and dept procedures.
• Maintain adequate stock of supplies.
• Conduct duties in an ethical and professional manner.
