Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic exams and sets up equipment.
• Enters instructions into computers and evaluates image accuracy.
• Makes necessary adjustments to achieve proper imaging.
• Evaluates radiographs for image quality and completeness.
• Responds to patient physical and psychological needs.
• Explains procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Maintains hand hygiene before and after patient contact.
• Observes patient condition and reports changes to nurse or physician.
