Job summary

UC San Diego Health seeks a Radiology Tech for per diem work with rotating 12-hour shifts across multiple community sites. The role requires ARRT radiography certification, state CRT-R/CRT-F credentials or eligibility, and willingness to float across sites including Encinitas, Vista, Rancho Bernardo, Eastlake, La Jolla, and Pacific Highlands Ranch.

The tech will perform radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, adhere to radiation safety protocols, and assist with front/back-office duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in radiology or new graduate from an approved radiologic technology program.
• Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).
• California CRT-R license required.
• California CRT-F license OR obtain within 6 months of hire.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.
• Knowledge of radiological computerized systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex radiographic and fluoroscopic exams.
• Ensure highest quality images according to guidelines.
• Enter data into computer systems and review radiographs for quality.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team.
• Float between X-Ray sites as needed.
• Back-office support and other duties to maintain operations.
