Job summary

UC San Diego Health in the Hillcrest area seeks a Radiology Tech for a per diem role to perform routine to complex radiographic and fluoroscopic exams. Work under general supervision, uphold radiologic safety, and support the radiology team in General Diagnostic Radiology.

The incumbent will prepare patients, ensure high-quality images, and assist radiologists. Depending on experience and certifications, the position may be hired at Rad Tech or Sr. Rad Tech level.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate of a radiologic technology program.
• CRT-R certification required.
• CRT-F within 6 months of hire (required for Sr. Rad Tech level).
• ARRT (R.T.(R)(ARRT)) certification required.
• BART or BLS at hire with plan to obtain BART within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic exams per established guidelines and safety protocols.
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality images; follow radiologist protocols.
• Enter and verify data in computer systems; review images for technical quality and accuracy.
• Demonstrate effective communication and conflict resolution with patients and staff.
