Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA seeks an Imaging Technologist in Radiology-KHMC to operate X-ray equipment, ensure radiation safety, and accurately prepare and complete procedures. You will review orders, assist with contrast, document in RIS, and ensure proper positioning and patient communication.

The role requires a CRT license and BLS; ARRT is preferred, with a fluoroscopy permit within 6 months if in Radiology Diagnostic. The position is full-time with a 12-hour shift pattern.

Qualifications

• CA Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT certification preferred.
• Fluoroscopy permit within 6 months of hire/transfer (if Radiology Diagnostic).
• Licensure in a second modality is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operates X-ray equipment and provides radiation protection per safety standards.
• Reviews orders, documents data accurately, and notifies physician of changes.
• Assists with contrast administration and prepares materials as needed.
• Uses RIS and charges exams; manages ordering and scheduling changes.
• Maintains clean work area, stocks supplies, and supports patient flow.
• Develops images with CR/DR and positions patients correctly.
• Transfers patients and explains procedures; verifies patient identity with two identifiers.
• Notifies nursing for exam changes and maintains professional relationships.
